MetroWest Subaru has been at the forefront of vehicle electrification, showcasing models like the Crosstrek Hybrid, which boasts a 148-horsepower plug-in-hybrid system. The dealership is also set to introduce the Subaru Solterra, an all-electric vehicle featuring Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, built on the new e-Subaru Global Platform.
To address heightening electrical requirements for these new EVs, Universal Electric Co. contributed to the successful installation of two EV charging stations at MetroWest Subaru of Natick, a leading Subaru dealership in the Boston Metro region. This project was a collaborative effort involving Rivermoor Energy and Universal Electric.
Rivermoor Energy managed the project planning and secured grant funding, working closely with MetroWest Subaru’s Dealer Principal, Frank Hanenberger, and General Manager, V.J. Donnelly. Universal Electric partnered with Rivermoor Energy to handle the engineering, construction, and commissioning of the EV charging stations, including the installation of Enel’s state-of-the-art commercial EV charging hardware and software.
